What is FlipStay?
FlipStay is a free cloud property management system (PMS) for small hotels, lodges, motels, homestays, B&Bs and guesthouses. It runs your room calendar, guest check-in and checkout, GST invoices, housekeeping, shifts and daily books in the browser.
How much does FlipStay cost?
Nothing. There is no subscription, no trial that runs out, no per-room or per-booking fee, and no card needed to sign up.
How does FlipStay make money if it is free?
From aggregated, anonymised market insight across many small properties — not from your individual guests or a cut of your bookings. You keep control of your own data.
How long until my property is live?
Immediately. Sign up, then enter the 6-digit code we email you (or click the link in that email) and your property is active. There is no manual approval wait.
What size of property is FlipStay for?
Independent properties from a couple of rooms up to roughly fifty.
Does FlipStay work on a phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.
Does FlipStay connect to Booking.com, MakeMyTrip or Expedia?
OTA channel sync is rolling out and is not live yet. Today FlipStay is your front desk and books, and you keep managing OTA extranets as you do now.
Which countries does FlipStay support?
Each property bills in its own currency with its local taxes. Ready-made tax setups cover India, China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the USA — VAT, GST, SST, service charges and tourist or city taxes — and every rate can be edited. Properties elsewhere can enter their own taxes.
Does FlipStay handle GST?
Yes. FlipStay applies the hotel room GST slab (5% up to ₹7,500 per night, 18% above), splits it into CGST and SGST, prints SAC 996311 and your GSTIN on the invoice, and supports GST-inclusive or exclusive tariffs.
Can my staff use FlipStay?
Yes. Add staff with their own email sign-in and choose what each person can access. Shifts can be opened and closed with a cash handover.
How do I sign in?
With your email: we send a 6-digit code (and a one-click link) that expires in minutes and works once. You can also set a password from My Account.
Is my data safe?
Each property’s data is isolated from every other property, all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, sign-in codes are single-use and rate-limited, and payment-gateway keys you add are encrypted at rest.
